Calculate the Fabric Size Required
Make sure the fabric you buy will be large enough for the cross-stitch pattern you are stitching using this easy to use calculator. Ideal if you need to convert between fabric sizes.
Just enter the width and height of the pattern in stitches or in inches (together with the fabric count that it was designed for) and then read off the dimensions for the fabric count you want to use.
The table lists both the size of the stitched image part of the pattern together with the size of the fabric which needs to be larger to allow for mounting and framing.

If you’re changing fabric size, don’t forget you may need to adjust the number of skeins of thread needed to stitch the piece. We have a thread skein calculator that can help with this.
